Sack full of 1911 Mags Need Help!
I have several 1911 mags that I believe are WWII era military, but I don't know by whom or if any are of particular interest or value. I've marked them with the markings exactly as found on the floor plate. I don't need this many mags and I plan to sell off some of them. I shoot a Norinco which was given to me by a friend who found it in a ammo box he hit with his bush hog. Submerged in water it was in terrible shape so now its a half-ass refinished Norinco 1911. Point is I want to discard the more valuable mags, but don't know which those are or what value to put on them. Can someone help? To see pics look at GB auction # 192537417

If you have gun questions, the best place to start is to post photos HERE, on the Ask the Experts forum; many folks don't have the patience to go back & forth between here & the auction site. You've figured out how to post photos on auctions, you need to learn how to post them here:
http://forums.gunbroker.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=259294
And, on the subject of photos, you are going to have to learn how to take better photos. If I can't see every side of a magazine, & read every marking, your photos aren't good enough. Use this auction as a guide:

If your photos aren't this good, trying to sell your mags here will be a waste of your time.
The mags with letters are USGI contract mags. Key words in the auction heading should be R - "Risdon", S - "Scovill", GS - "General Shaver", L - "Little". Markings on the BOTTOM of the floor plate are important too, & must be shown. The unmarked mags may have been made by Colt. The Colt-marked mags may be Colt commercial mags transferred to the military.
I don't know your definition of "valuable", but you don't need to know the value of anything to sell it. List it at the lowest price you are willing to accept, & the "the market" will determine it's real value.
