Rifle ID help needed...
I have a rifle proof marked "1947". It is a clip fed .22 cal LR with a 4 digit serial number. It was made by Beretta and resembles a Sport / Super Sport/ Olympic in general appearance. It is a bolt action only. I was told that it was made by Beretta in 1947 for the Italian Socialist Government for military training use and that none were sold / released to private ownership.
Any information that you can provide, such as rarity, number manufactured, estimated value etc, would be greatly appreciated. Please reply to gavelwacker@yahoo.com
Thank you for your time and assistance. David.[8D]

With no answers after 10 months it should have dawned on you that nobody here knows. There is at least one Beretta forum on the net, run it by them.0
