stock swap 1895 mauser
i just left gunsmith shop with my custom 1985 chilaen mauser distroyed.since my action and barrel are ruined,does anybody know if i can use any other barreled action that will fit into this exabition grade stock,without it having to be altered? i still have the trigger guard/floorplate and screws.the rifle was a numbers matching all orignal action and barrel,thanks richard

MOST SMALL RING MAUSERS WILL FIT (MAY NEED SOME SLIGHT FITTING (M-93/94/95/96). WHAT CAUSE THE RIFLE TO FAIL? 0 -
sir the original problem was, the first 2 bullets would hit a qurarter,than the rest were 3-4 inches off, and all over the place.i had the same results with 3 different scopes,i suspected barrel needed recrowned,but gunsmith said i needed a new barrel.and it seems that the metal in the action was too soft and was warped during barrel removal.not salvageable.needless to say i was disappointed.thanks richard.quote:Originally posted by MIKE WISKEY
