Remington Nylon
I'm looking for some information on a .22 I purchased from a friend for $30. It's a Remington Nylon 10 bolt action single shot in amazing condion... the barrel is rifled and 19 1/2 inches long. I've been trying to look up information on these but it's been pretty vague at best. I know they were produced in the 60's and I read that a few of these models are reported to be made with the bolt chromed, even though it hasn't been documented by Remington...? Mine has a chrome bolt...
Anyways I'm extremely intrigued by this little gun and am really hoping to find out some information about it... and possibly a value. Any help would be great!

There's a wealth of information at this site: http://www.nylonrifles.com/wp/ 0 -
Your really going to torque a lot of guys out when you tell them you got your prize for $30, [:D].
Needless to say it was a very good deal. Lot of collectors try to to acquire all the different versions of the nylon rifles that Remington made. For some reason the bolt action is one of the harder ones to get?
If our folks can't provide enough information, you might try the Nylon 66 forum on Yahoo Groups.0 -
You stole that one. Sold mine a couple of years ago for around $350. The realy nice ones are going for a lot more than that now. 0 -
Thank you! I'm not sure if I'll be selling it or not. I'd like to, but I do seem to enjoy it. 0 -

Well at least post a picture of it or two, for us to see!

Nylon bolt riifles were manufactured '62-'64 in three styles...single shot, box mag. fed and tube mag fed... brown zytel (nylon)with black and white trim.. the bolt on your rifle should be steel, with a chrome cast metal handle (spoon shaped)..One unique feature of the model 10 single shot is the safety is actuated upon closing the bolt..It must be released to fire...a nice thing when teaching a young shooter....
Please post a photo of your bolt...

Well, now that biggalee has set the going current price, I think I'll try to use the "Buy It Now" option and offer that auctioner $30. [:D] 0 -
