I have inherited a Marlin model 93. Serial number under the lever is #2099. The barrle is marked .32 special. What is the age of this gun and the approximate value. The gun is in excellent condition.

    There is a disconnect between the serial number you have given and the caliber. The serial number is for a much earlier Marlin rifle, that wouldn't haven't been chambered for the .32 Winchester special cartridge.

    Most likely, it was re-chambered or re-barreled at a later date.

    The picture on the reply was for a hand gun. My gun is a rifle. Marlin model 93. .32 caliber special. Is the answer still the same. It looks original.

    The picture of a Luger is part of his signature and appears in all of his replies. He was in fact referring to your Marlin rifle.
