bushing the firing pin on a Low-wall??

    No one has replied, so I'll make a comment. You are correct about not needing to bush your 25-20. Might me needed if the firing pin hole is now larger thru wear and etc. But, as you said, with the load you intend to use, bushing not required. However, if you had your low wall rebarreled/rechambered to a higher pressure cartridge, then there might be a need for bushing, but I'd let an experienced gunsmith determine if necessary. I had a martini cadet action barreled to 22 hornet and elderly gunsmith who was experienced working on these actions saw need to bush mine.

    What's the diameter of the firing pin tip and hole?
    You can use number drills to measure the hole.

    It is not necessary to bush the breech block and install a smokeless powder firing pin.

    Do not rebarrel/rechamber an original low-wall rifle to a high pressure cartridge... if you do, you will end up with a cracked frame.
