Help ID this REMINGTON Pump

A buddy gave me a basket case Remington slide action. I can't identify it 'cause I don't know jack about early Remington.

Slide action, single bar.
Bottom eject
Serno only on receiver

Barrel has:
REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION NY
and patent dates of '03 and '05.
Serno on bottom.

Serno 16400 range.

Is this a Model 10,17, 29? Or the first no model pump?

All it needs is a buttstock and forearm, but I don't know what model.

  A big thank you. I went through Gun Parts catalog trying to match parts and that's the one they don't have a breakdown of.
