    Describe the shipping box, please.

Wehrmacht arms shipments to the field during WWII were in wooden crates with the rifles wrapped in grease-paper, at about twenty-five rifles per shipping crate. Joe

    EDIT
Sorry. Your question was value..with the US Provost Marshal release papers, and not duffel-cut, my guesstimate is the North side of four thousand dollars, as long as the buyer agrees with you vis-a-vis condition, (scope mount serialized to the gun, all small parts serialized, no force matching, etc).

The only wild card is the box.

There was one for sale as you describe at a show in Louisville about three years ago. The asking price was 5K. It is my understanding that he did not sell it at the show, but did sell it to for that price a few months later. Best of luck

Coyote Pete....as you know the market is down right now and this is not the time to be selling (now buying...that's another story![^]). To give you a feel for value, check the Rock Island auction last weekend results as there were several German snipers for sale. I assume the "box" you are talking about is not the German military box but rather the box back to the US containing the rifle and kit. Without photos, but reading your description, I would guess between $5-7k depending on condition, but again check RI for today's market. In an auction setting, under the right conditions, you might make more[^][:D]
