Lachmiller dies?

Anyone ever heard of Lachmiller reloading dies? If so, are they worth a darn?

In their day, they were the equal of anything on the market.

I've got a couple of sets that are in regular use. One is marked ".300 Magnum", made in the day when the H&H was THE .300 magnum. The other set is in .222 Remington Magnum. As has been said, they're as good as any.

LACHMILLER ENGINEERING CO. GLENDALE CAL.

Lachmiller reloading dies were and for the most part are still as good as current middle-of-the-road commercial dies. RCBS bought them out back in the '60s, I think. Lots of their gear was sold by Herter's.

I ran across a set at a yard sale the other day. Are parts still available, i.e. decapping pins?

It's been nearly 50 years but you might find something. Your best bet might be to call RCBS to ask them since they purchased Lachmiller.
