I just went and measured mine and OD is the same and there is room for the chamber.
I doubt it would be cost effective to re-do the barrel as it would take a lot of effort considering you would have to re-rifle them not just re-chamber. I know there is a company that makes Uzi barrels in other calibers and I think they run in the $150 range
So if it is worth it would depend on how much it would cost for the barrel + labor vs a new .45 barrel.0 -
The .41AE is a .400cal bullet. So .40sw or 10mm would be feasible if you did some modifications to a bolt, and reamed the chamber. 0 -
I have a 41AE Tanfaglio pistol and it uses a .410" bullet. I reload for it with the Sierra 170 gr 41 magnum bullet. Fortunatly, I have a 9mm barrel for it as well. I bought a case of ammo years ago when I got the pistol. Ammo and brass is hard to come by these days. 0 -

You sure about that? I had a Jericho 941, with both the 9mm, and 41AE barrel, and the 41 AE bullets were 0.410" diameter, the same as a 41 Magnum. The 41 AE was out long before the 10mm, and 40 S&W. The Idea was to get a 41 punch with a 9mm rim. The only habdgun that was 0.400" diameter before the 10mm, and 40S&W was the 38 WCF, or 38-40.
I believe if you look under the bullet diameter column in this loading data, it says 0.410"
