I have one of these in 32 cal. sw. in pretty good shape. I have a question about the grips. On all others I've seen, at the top of grips there is the H&R target logo, but on mine, there is U.S. embossed on grip. Anyone know why this would be so? I wouldn't think Government would use such a small cal. or nickel plate.

the grips are not original to the revolver. the grips with the U.S. at the top belong to a revolver of the U.S. Revolver Co., which is a brand name of the iver johnson's arms & cycle works.
