Price seems to good to be true, to me. The stainless PPK's were made in the States, some unfortunately had functioning/reliability problems. I wouldn't buy this one unless it's guaranteed to be reliable. Since Interarms has been out of business for years, if it turns out to be a Lemon you will be stuck with it. I doubt if S & W would work on a Interarms made PPK. 0 -
Seems like a decent price, but as stated aren't as reliable as a German made one. They are much better in reliability than the S&W version. For that price I would probably buy it knowing I could get my money back easily if I didn't like it. 0 -
I've carried an Interarms stainless PPk for 17 years. They are very reliable, even if you don't clean it regularly.
Concur that S&W's are crap.0 -
bought it. paid $373 plus 7% for the governor. fired about 25 rounds thru it with no malfunctions. i,m going to call it a good deal. thanks all. 0 -
That was a good deal. Original Walther, Interarms and Manurhin mags will work. IMHO the Interarms are as well made and machined as the Walthers. 0 -
I bought one a while back and it has functioned very well. It is an older one of the interarms models manufactured by Ranger. If you are interested, I have been collecting a list of serial numbers vs manufacture date. The records are not available from Ranger manufacturing so this is the best info I could find. If you are intersted, send me your email and I will send you the file.
Here is the data I have.
In 1978, Ranger Manufacturing of Gadsden, Alabama was licensed to manufacture the PPK and PPK/S; this version was distributed by Interarms of Alexandria, Virginia. This license was eventually canceled. Starting in 2002, Smith & Wesson (S&W) began manufacturing the PPK and PPK/S under license. In February 2009, S&W issued a recall for PPKs it manufactured for a defect in the hammer block safety. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walther_PPK

I will add your serial number to the list. Some of the guns still have the test target and some of the test targets have the date of the test. This is the info the list has been built on.
If anyone out there has a PPK and has the original purchase date, I would appreciate the info to add to the list.0
