Can I shoot lead SWC in my H&K USP 45ACP?

It should be no problem if it has conventional rifling. One thing to watch out for is the throat; if your 200 gr SWC chamber ok (or if you adjust seating depth to suit) you should be just fine.

Even with polyagonal rifling, a lot of guys over at the cast boolit forum have tried it and found it isn't an issue, but it isn't something for a casual cast shooter to try- you have to really know what you are doing with bullet hardness, fit, and lube, to make sure you won't have any leading BEFORE attempting it- as it is rapid leading and bore constriction that generally makes this a no-no in polyagonal rifled guns such as the Glock and so forth.

Unless someone changed the barrel in the H&K it has polygonal barrel from the factory. The don't like lead! I shot some lead through the Glock and it made a mess out of the barrel and took a long time to get clean. If you look real close you may be looking a flats in lieu of lanes and groves.

I have one of the early HK USP's and it has grooved instead of polygonal rifling.

Lead and polygonal rifling do not mix. Accumulation of lead in the 'grooves' will eventually tighten the bore up to the point where pressures become a real issue...potentially catastrophic.
