Old school mod 70 aftermarket trigger?

The '57 model 70 I just bought here on GB was a custom rig by Paul Jeager & Co, It has a 27" G R Douglas XX bull barrel, it seems to be missing a trigger shoe that attaches to a bar in the wood trigger slot. Can any of you mature guys tell me anything about this trigger? The seller from PA thinks he has the shoe and screw, Gun came out of a collection of 85 P Jeager custom guns that were held by a non shooting collector in PA. Thanks[;)]
