Price check please

I have a J.C.Higgins model 52 with a Sako action, I can not find it any where. Gun is easy 80% cal is 222. Can someone give me a ballpark of what it is worth. Thank you.

    6.5 Rem Mag wouldn't be a common caliber, normally chambered in the 700. I believe, if memory serves Remington originally brought it out for the short action 600 carbines. This might increase the value of your friends rifle, if it's factory original. Their some guys who collect all the different odd ball calibers the 700's were originally chambered for.

    My Remington book says they were made from 69-73 in the 700. Only 1500 were made. They just didn't sell, but that isn't helping me on value.Thanks for the help.
