Browning 3 Barrel set identification.
My Granddad left me a Browning over under shotgun with 3 barrels 20,28 and .410. I went to the Browning site and none of the serial number identification methods helped. The serial number is XXXX3PR6K3. The gun is new in the case with all 3 barrels. It is beautiful with lots of gold engravings of birds. Any help would be great.

PR = 1987. You can get it lettered by Browning for @ 40 USD 0 -
Sorry I found the year ok. I could not find the identification....Citori??? BT-99??? or grade??? 6K3 was not an option in the list of identifications. 0 -
U.S. law requires country of origin markings on imported manufactured products. If your shotgun was made in Japan it would be a Citori, Belgium Superposed.
As far as grade is concerned per your description with the three fitted barrels and ornate engraving, it appears to be a custom special order gun. Best to spring $40 for the letter from Browning to find out what grade they considerate it to be.0 -
Awesome. I did not know that was an option. I will sent the $40 tomorrow. Many thanks JJ. 0
