It's been what collectors called "sporterized", i.e. converted into a hunting rifle from it's military rifle configuration. Because of this it has no collectors value as far as being a arsenal original military rifle, unfortunately. My WAG in it's present condition your looking at $150-$300 as a Deer rifle, if's it's a low number RI, even less then that.

I agree with rufe, it has value as a shooter only. S/N is high enough to be safe to shoot, and in this neck of the woods it should fetch $250.00-$350.00. It is nice looking, and I would not be ashamed to own it.

Your rifle was made in 1918 and is a "high number". High numbers started at 285507. Your pictures do not show enough of the barrel to be able to guess whether it has been replaced. Origional '03 barrels had a length-ways spline that indexed the rear sight: If that's there, it could be the origional barrel--no way to tell for sure.

Problem is, your bolt appears to be a "straight bent" bolt, which is presumed to be unsafe.

And, your bad front sight needs repair/replacement before the rifle can be used.

I believe that, to someone knowledgeable about M1903's, your rifle has no value.
