MAS 49 barrels
Gentlemen,
Does anyone out there in gunland know of a source for barrels for the MAS 49/56. As most of you know, when this fine battle rife was re-chambered by the importer, name will not be mentioned to protect the guilty, on far too many of them the chamber was hogged out so badly as to render them inoperatable. I believe I have come up with a means of repair that will restore the rife to service, but I would like to secure some replacement barrels for experimentation and to cover OOPS![:I]

Very sorry for the late reply, I've been busy as of late and haven't gone back far in search of answers. My best answer is to buy a blank big enough to work and then chamber/turn it to the dimensions you are needing. I have not seen any source of MAS barrels in all the milsurp stuff I look through. You never know though. Buy a barrel and that's when you'll see one.
