Did anyone ever take a look at this pair of Colts and determine an appoximate value?
What about any other firearms they will be having, does anything else look interesting? I'm not very far away from where the auction will be held an will probably attend.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. If you read his auction link, the guns have been removed from Mr Royston & have been locked up somewhere by order of the court. So, it sounds like that are not yet ready to be sold.
In any case, as a knife collector, I'm sure that you understand that one-of-a-kind collectables are just about impossible to appraise. That's especially true if the description is sketchy, documentation is missing, & photographs are poor.
I have seen similar Colts sold by Rock Island Auctions; you might want to browse their past auctions & see if you can find comparable guns that they have sold.
