Try Ron Peterson at (505) 255-8695. If anyone knows, he likely does. Owns a gunshop, and is a recognized authority. He has been in the business a lot of years.

It sounds like a job that Score-Hi might have done; they had a little machine shop over off of Zuni/Central for a lotta years, doing bizarre calibers/wildcats, souping up revolvers and what not-coulda been Michael Salazar.....
The only other old time 'smith I can recall was Smoky Ill; don't remember if he was at Ron's or Charlie's.

THANKS Gunnut! I am assuming Michael Salazar worked in Albuquerque, N.M. About what time-frame? I also called HeDog's suggestion Ron Peterson...he could not recall such a person...he did refer me to someone else to no avail. This gun is a GREAT shooter. I found RCBS Dies in 240 PSP so I can reload. So far, I have just fire-formed 6mm Rems.

Smoky Ill was the gunsmith at Ron Petersons in the early 80's, I spent a lot of time there in the old gun shop on Central before he moved across the street.
