Clean old ammo?

anyone know of a good way to clean old factory ammo? thanks

    Vinegar and water dip, with a water rinse, and dry.
    Dip for maybe 5 minutes, rinse under the tap, and place on a towel (in the sun preferably).

    Define dirty? What are you trying to clean off?

    Scrape off the hard corrosion. Use steel wool (whatever grade works best) on the rest - one piece at a time. I would think medium or coarse grade steel wool would work best for cleaning just to shoot.

    It's old 30-06 ammo. Looks dark & gummy (for lack of a better word)

    Use a fine grit foam sanding block. They are available at Ace Hardware. Do not soak or dip commercial ammo. It has no sealers at the bullet or primer.

    Unless there are some chunks of stuff on the ammo I have had good luck wiping ammo down with a rag damp with a little CLP.

    The times I have had some ammo with green chunks then I just wiped it with CLP and used a my brass or steel brush on the bad spots.

    OOOO steel wool should do it.
    Only note I'd add that I don't think has been addressed is,
    If you do use CLP or any other lubricant or lubricant/cleaner, make sure you clean it all off before shooting. A little "slick" on the brass may increase thrust transmitted to the bolt face as the brass has a harder time gripping the chamber wall.
