Anyone?.....Anyone?.....1962 llama lll-a, 380

Looking for a lil help from anyone who knows anything about Llama pistols. I recently obtained a llama lll-A, 380 made in 1962 (H1 stamp/proof) in MINT condition. Has the original box an manual, one 8rd mag and shoots pretty damn good. A guy gave it to me to pay off a debt. Said his Grandfather had given it to him about 20 years ago- Its just been sitting in his closet. Anyway- Wood grips, fixed sights, not a scratch on her- I can't find any info on her in any of my books- just info on ones produced after 1980....any help would be greatly appreciated-[img][/img]

    Llama's have never been big buck collectors items, NIB notwithstanding.

    If you haven't noticed the economy s**ks big time now, i.e. everybody and their brother are looking for work.

    With the above being the back story, I would stick the Llama back in the closet for another 20 years or however long it takes for things to turn around, money wise for folks.

    If your bound and determined to sell it now, IMHO your looking at $200-$300 in the condition you describe.

    I don't think you can find many older .380's thinner than the Llama.
    The one I had a while back, looked wonderful but wasn't accurate.
    Being used to the 1911 grip angle, I couldn't get used to the 380 LLama's steeper grip angle.
    Stoeger sold them in 1958 for $52 and in 1964 for $48.80.

    All I can offer is a link to a site which has a Llama forum. Follow the link listed below. You will find a list of forums by manufacturers. Scroll down to "Other 1911s" and click there. Someone there can probably help you with your questions. They used to have a forum dedicated to Llama/Firestorm, but I guess the drop in popularity caused them to include them in the "misc." forum. Good luck.

    By the way, I have three Llamas ).32, 9mm, and .45) and love them all.

    I'm not sure what i'm gonna do with her- just thought it was an interesting piece due to the age and shape it's in- i'm a 1911 freak owning several kimbers, colts, sigs, and one ed brown.....this little thing shot great- first 8 rounds down range kept a group smaller than my palm- at 7 yards....
