I have two speed loaders that are marked S&W 38 Chief and are five cartridge. Were these sold in the box with this weapon?

  Are safariland speed loaders any better than hks?

  They are faster on the reload.
  Maybe not as secure to carry and bounce around.
  More tedious to fill.

  They are much faster on reload, bounce and loaded. I have carried comp 2 in my pants pocket and not had a problem.

  I've used comp II&III,s with no problems. It depends what your use is as to the ones you want. The Safariland loading tray makes them very easy to load [;)]
