Sir, I am not questioning the safe firing of a 30-06 cartridge in the 30-03 chamber. What I disagree with you on is that you stated that 30-06 dies cannot be used to reload the longer neck 30-03. Please read my original post over again. My '95 in 30-06 chambering is # 4196--. I paid $85.00 1969 dollars for it! Ed

  The 30-03 case is too long for the 30-06 sizing die, just as a .357 case is too long for a .38 Spl sizing die (as you noted in your earlier post).
