best book on brown bess musket

hi, what is the best book or site for details of the british brown bess musket, i am looking for details of makers, stampings on the lock, etc, also the guns history

  Red Coat & Brown Bess by Anthony Darling is very good on details of its various models but not about makers. Printed about 1970 with reprints since. Not rare, I got one off ezebay recently, original, EXC. for $12.

  The Brown Bess, by Eric Goldstein and Stuart Mowbray is a good book.
  
  Also Small Arms of the British Forces in America 1664-1815, by De Witt Bailey.
  
  Muskets of the Revolution and the French & Indian War, by Bill Ahearn
