does all 38 type carbines or rifles on the saftey knob have the tit that sticks out instead of the half moon type cut out on the 99 , thanks. have e-mail problems , so send to buckkille3@aol.com , thanks

  early ones ..large tit..then later small tit..toward end U notch...small tit and U notch also used on 38 carbines and type 44 carbines
