What model rifle does this ladder sight fit?

    This is strictly a WAG. The proof mark resembles the ones used in East Germany, after the war. I would say that the sight was from either from one of the 98 K's or Mosin Nagants that were reworked for the East German para military forces during that time frame.

    They had a bunch of old W W II retreads that they called workers militia, who were armed with reworked/rebuilt WW II era firearms. Most of the times we ran across them they seemed to be carrying PPSH burp guns, but I'm sure a bunch of them were armed with old bolt action rifles also.
