Identifying my Ramp
Hello. Just bought a brand new Springfield Armory 1911 Lightweight Operator, and I was thinking about ordering a new threaded barrel. Only problem is, I need to know what my current ramp is so I can order the same style. How would I go about determining if I have a Wilson/Nowlin or a Clark/Para Ramp?

As I recall the Brownells Catalog gave the dimensions of the various ramped barrels. If you don't have one of their catalogs, you might find it on their on-line site. Failing that give one of their customer service folks a call Monday. 0 -
Mine is a Wilson-Nowlin and I don't see why they would have changed.
But you can tell by looking at the lug below the integral ramp.
Is it flat on the back or radiused?
Wilson-Nowlin is flat, Clark-Para is radiused.
Best talk to the vendor or a real 1911 gunsmith, the integral ramp barrels have different fitting requirements from a standard type.0 -

As far as purchasing barrels, Does anyone have a reliable seller they trust for barrels? I don't want to get something of a bad quality.
