The Blue book says $879.00. You can expect offer's from dealer's of 70% of that value or less. Most stocking dealer's have a lot of overhead, and need to make money too. I suggest, listing it on the auction side, starting at $699.00, with no reserve. Create a bidding war, and you should do well. But don't expect more than $800.00ish. That is a popular rifle, and somewhat popular caliber.

I agree with tsr. It's been my experience gun shop dealers will offer you on the way less than 70% side-more like 50%. Some MIGHT give you a little better if you are doing a trade instead of just straight selling it to them but don't count on it.

Thanks for the information. I'm not looking to get full value when I trade it in. I won it on a twenty five dollar gun bash ticket and have no use for the ultra mag, just want to get a Savage .25-06 or .30-06 and not have to add money to it in order to walk out the door with it. All the dealers I have called want me to bring the gun in and look at it, even though it's brand new and never been out of the box. I don't want to drive all over the north east trying to find someone who will trade a Savage for a Remington. A couple more phone calls and if nothing happens it will be listed on here starting at $.01 no reserve.
