CAI Sterling 9mm Carbine
anyone own/shoot one of these?
opinions?
not the "new" long sleeve version, but the one like Sterling imported in the '80's
example below:

I had the oppertunity to shoot a real F/A Sterling SMG, and always wanted one, but $$$$ was too much for my budget.
SO, I'd be happy with this.
Thanks in advance,
Loaf

I don't know how they shoot, the crinkle finish looks good tho.
Probably typical Century crap tho.
I have a post-sample MG and it shoots great, except for that "tricky stock" which if you don't have it locked in just right, will fold down on you about the 5th round out of the mag.0 -
Recent issue of Shotgun News had a review by Fortier, only the long sleeve version. He seemed to feel the function was near flawless, the handling good, the accuracy better than expected and the trigger pull much better than expected, all with the disclaimer that the gun he tested worked well, even with Hornaday hollow point. He too apparently has had probs with Century guns before. Luck of the draw, as some work well, others, maybe not. 0 -
Ive got one and it does indeed run flawless. These are not made by Century, they are made by Wiselite Arms and marketed by Century... 0 -
Just because they are subbed out doesn't mean that they're good.
Wise-Lite is a company with a checkered reputation for actually delivering a working product, if delivering at all.
Century has some other outfit building their C93s and you can tell that they are "lowest bidder" builds, ugly paint, bad triggers, horrible welds, and crooked front sights.0
