Officers ACP Mark IV Series 80
I would like to put a five inch barrel on this .45. This model has the 3 1/2 inch barrel with the "bulge" on the end. I uses a bushing with a larger hole. Is there a change over bushing?
Thanks in advance.

Don't tote it like a fashion statement. The other guy needs to know you can't wait to use it, else it's got the value of tits on a boar hog.
Thanks in advance.

Hello I think what you are trying to do would be very hard The slide would have to have some way of locking the bushing onto the slide like in a normal full size or commander size 1911. Or machining the 5 inch barrel so the DOG KNOT BUMP type of bushing is attached 1/2 way down the barrel . Both not impossible but impractical. The officers model is made primarily as a carry gun and with out a red dot mounted on the pistol the extra 1&1/2 inch of barrel would give you nothing . I do have a full size Government model with a 6 inch barrel that has 1 inch of the barrel exposed out the front of the slide but this TARGET gun has a red dot mounted. I also have Target 1911's with extended Front sights that extend out the front of the slide .BUT these are NOT carry guns. Pictures on request. Perry Shooter. 0
