memory jog please
Saw a program on History International I believe, that featured European revolvers recently.
There was one that had a rifled bbl on top with an additional bbl underneath specifically designed for shooting shot. The manufacturer eludes me. I'm thinking it started with an L, Lamond, lamarge, I just can't remember. It wasn't anything new. These went back some years ago. Help, my memory is like a fish net....full of holes.

LeMat. Invented by a physcian in New Orleans, made in Britain, used by the South in the Civil War. The Virginia Historical Society in Richmond VA has the only LeMat CARBINE I have ever seen. They were ball and cap, and later cartridge arms.

Perry- many of the Lemats were NINE shot revolvers- plus the buckshot load- and SOME Cavalrymen carried 4- two in belt holsters, 2 on saddle holsters. That was 36 rounds + 4 buckshot before reloading. In the ball and cap days- a veritable arsenal of firepower. 0 -
