I have a revolver marked EIG MODEL E357 GERMANY under the grips. Any information on this gun?

2 questions.i have an 8 shot single/double action revolver made in germany.gun was imported to decatur,ga.the grips say PIC.gun is 22 cal and looks like old cowboy colt but with about 20 pounds of pull will shoot double action.i cant find anything on this gun. 2nd question is about the puma 454 rifles.was going to buy one to match my 454 revolver but i see they are discontinued,were there any problems with them or is it just the factory change that caused this? 0 -
EIG was a importer/distributor of mostly inexpensive personal protection handguns, back in the 60's. Lot of their revolvers were made by Rohm Co. located in what was then West Germany.
Need quality photos of the revolver and markings for identification and valuation purposes.0 -
EIG was a large American importer active from the early 1950s up until the early 1970s who imported large numbers of low cost handguns from Europe. I think that most of their revolver line came from RG, a German firm well known for inexpensive handguns, so your pistol is likely an RG Model 57. These used to retail for around one hundred bucks and on a good day at a gun show a nice one might bring that much today. 0
