Browning BT-99 Hall of Fame Commerative
Can anybody help me find some information on my BT-99 Hall of fame gun. I'm told they made one for each state and that was it. Trying to determine what the value is. It's in mint condition with a 32" barrel. It was made around 1980.

For the most part Commerative Fire-arms don't bring any more then standard issue of the same make and model in the same condition sometimes even less because the people that are interested is fewer then the number of people wanting a gun to shoot .Most commerative guns may lose 1/2 of their value if Fired one time or have any part of the original Box /Papers /ETC missing Very few people today have the money that they want to spend on a SAFE QUEEN. Go to the Gunbroker COMPLETED AUCTIONS & search for a SOLD gun that is the same model in the same condition. Then, subtract 10% & that will be close to the value of yours.

EDIT: I wasn't clear on my suggestion. What I should have said was, find the PLAIN version of your gun (field, trap, skeet), with the same barrel length & choke, & disregard any engraving or decoration. Your shotgun is really a "special edition" (i.e., some company or distributor ordered a quantity from the manufacturer), as opposed to a "commemorative" (cataloged by Browning & available to all distributors). So, it is worth less than the "plain" version, not more.0 -
I tried. There is nothing listed anywhere. Its a grade VI if that helps. Its similar to the Leo's special but has a gold eagle and gold American flag. 0
