Smith & Wesson Pistols
Just thought some of you might like to know, I contacted Smith & Wesson regarding the fact that currently they are not marketing any of their traditional metal frame, double action, hammer fired, auto loading pistols and their response was that they will be introducing new versions of some of their traditional pistols soon...

Am I missing something? I was looking on the Smith & Wesson website today and I couldn't find any of their traditional, double action, metal frame, hammer fired semi-auto pistols. Did they just withdraw from that market in favor of polymer frame, striker fired Sigma, M&P and their new SD pistols and their 1911 copies only? 0 -
New traditional pistols, awesome, did they happen to give any indication of which models that they were going to re-introduce? 0 -
No, they didn't say which ones but at least they'll still be making some non-plastic, non-striker fired pistols. 0 -
Betcha dollars to donuts that you might see a Model 39 and 59 go into the Classic Line like they have done with the old style revolvers--just hope they aren't going to sell them for as much as they do the revolvers though--$800 to $1000 for a Model 39 would be way out there. 0
