Winchester Model 23 - 28 Gauge

Since you all were so helpful before.....I need help figuring out what a Winchester Model 23 Classic Pigeon Grade 28 gauge is worth. The guy I talked with at Cabelas said he did not see it in his book and thought maybe $2000. The model number on its tag is G23CL7. It is a side by side IC and MO and has the very detailed engraving, the gold pigeon of the bottom of the reciever, and fiddle back stock. I have had it about 15 years and the tag is still on it. It has never been shot. Thanks for any help you can provide.

  Blue Book has a Winchester Model 23 Classic(it doesn't mention Pigeon Grade) in 28 gauge, with the small frame(not a 20 gauge frame)at 100% condition is valued at $5750.00, 98% condition at $5250.00.
