BURRIS VS LUEPOLD

I have both and like both of them but I have more Leupold scopes. Both are made very well. However, there are Burris models that are made in Asia and I'm not sure of their quality these days.

    Good luck!

Burris is definately the most bang for the buck. The comparable models of Leupold are much more pricey. Yes, Burris has some stuff made in the Asian market now, but so does Leupold, mainly the VX1, and the Rifleman.

When it comes to handgun scopes, Burris is definately the stand out, among all of it's peer's.

If you want another brand or two, to throw into the mix, there is Sightron, and Nikon. Both are great scopes, starting in their midrange model's.

One more note....there are several more threads on the "Expert's" forum of which this, or very similar topics were discussed, should you feel the need to use the search option.

    +1.

I think *right now* (and you never know which way quality control or prices will move over time), Burris scopes cost a bit less for the quality they deliver.

As mentioned, both Burris and Leupold (and of course Nikon) are having some of their lineup made in Asia, though I'm not sure how much of a negative that really is. That's how the market is going now, and you can always pick a better (ie more expensive) model if you think you'll need it. Both Burris and Leupold have excellent customer service, so if you do get a dud, they'll take care of you.
