to the folks who answered my question about the glock magazines being 18 rounders for answering me and showing me that my eyesight is worse than i thought [:D] they are standard magazines the 6 on the right looked like an 8 just as suggested. i thought i had something different. the welcome was also greatly appreciated. i actually have an eye appointment for friday.

    Thanks to all that replied to my "good-bye". I am not planning on getting rich, just a job I enjoy and can make a living for the rest of my days. I will attempt to keep in touch and will do my best to make all of you "experts" happy.

    There is a sticky on the front page that tells you how to post pics. It's very easy. No way to give you a value without pics--Astra 600's can run anywhere from $150 to $600.

    But, realistically, it's difficult to put a "value" on anything that doesn't change hands often enough to have established some kind of track record. There aren't a lot of Astra collectors out there, so it's not likely to bring as much as "name brand" guns. Unless you have the original factory fitted case & documentation, most folks would consider it to have been engraved by someone with lesser skills, & value will be a lot lower than you would think.

    I'm curious; why do you need the "value"?

    The Astra 600's were originally made for the German Army during W W II. Although many were never actually used by the Germans due to the allies invasion of France in 1944.

    These were manufactured as military pistols and personally I have never seen one that was factory engraved. My feeling is that the engraving would detract from it's value, if anything.

    If you could post quality photos this would help in the identification and valuation of your Astra.

    there are factory engraved astras that were used by salesmen to sell the gun and low level presentations. they have different grips, kinda tan plastic with the astra logo in color.
    but i thought only the 300's were so outfitted
    the engraving is typically type B and very basic, w/o much relief.
