Quality Hardware M1 Carbine
What is the correct barrel which should be used on a Quality Hardware M1? Mine has a Buffalo Arms. Is that correct? If not, what manufacture of M1 should have the Buffalo Arms barrel?
Thanks in Advance,
Aaron

OK, a few weeks back I acquired an M1 carbine. I took a few pictures of it and am curious of the "originality" of the firearm. I don't know enough about M1 carbines, so I leave the judging to you all. There is no marks that I can see on the front sight. The barrel band is marked "JM". There is only what appears to be an "L" inside the sling well on the stock.
With the pictures enclosed please provide the best analysis of this item and potential value. Thanks in advance.

Quality Hardware did not produce any of their own barrels and instead had finished barrels provided to them from other carbine manufacturers or government subcontractors. This was the case with Buffalo Arms, which besides supplying Quality Hardware also provided barrels to National Postal Meter, Saginaw and Standard Products. The Buffalo Arms barrels are the third most numerous type of barrel found on Quality Hardware carbines. 0 -
