My buddy just came in from all day fluking off NY/NJ out of 45 fish 3 keepers with the 18" minimum...
That bites.

Maybe a little farther south? U read any reports from the head boats out of Barnagate or Cape May?

Reports out of Barnegat are about the same. The fishery will close soon. Commercial guys will be able to bypass rules on shorts...
Not good for the rod and reel guys.
