AK 47 Measurement Question

Hey guys,

Was wondering where I could find the rules and regulations for what measurements a yugo M70 ak 47 must be? Is the muzzle brake included in that measurement? What if it is a threaded removable brake?

  The minimum barrel length must be 16 inches are more. Muzzle attachments only apply to barrel length if they are permanently attached to teh barrel. Welding, pinning and welding or high temperature silver solder are the typical attachment methods while the use of industrial thread lockers is specifically prohibited. The over all length of the finished rifle must be at least 26 inches.

  If you are asking about how to measure barrel length of a rifle, you insert a rod in the bore & measure from the bolt face to the muzzle. A compensator or flash suppressor is not included in that measurement UNLESS it is PERMANENTLY attached to the muzzle.
