unknown mg part from what?
Hi, i got this in a box of mixed military rifle parts i bought but after all my internet searching i have found nothing close. Anybody know what it is from, i am sure it american.thanks for any true help.

Looks like the clamp to hold the butt stock on a Browning 1919A6 0 -

As the owner of a 1917, it is not a part of that weapon. I would agree on it being a stock clamp for the 1919A6. 0 -
