Do you think they are better than the factory glock barrel?

    There was a long thread about different aftermarket barrels on the Glock board. Conclusion was that they were all pretty much equal.

    Better?
    Only if you want land and groove rifling for lead bullets or if you want a more supported chamber for reloading .40 cal.
    I see no need to change the barrel in my G17.

    One thing to consider, they tend to send out undersize chambers ("minimum match chambers" in the advertising.) You may have to either put more work into your reloads or have the chamber reamed to standard dimensions.

    I've got a lone Wolf in my 17. A friend has a Wilson in his. We see no difference in them. It took him a couple of hours to fit his to the slide. Mine dropped in and cost less.

    Thats kinda what I was thinking. I can't afford another barsto installed match barrel at the moment, and I can't shoot limited with my Glock 24c until I drop in a non-ported barrel. I noticed just about everything out there is in the 100 to 200 dollar range, but didn't really know if one was particularly any better than the other. A buddy and way better shooter than myself recommended a KKM barrel, but I noticed the Lonewolf was a little cheaper.

    I got a LW in my G34 that is threaded for my silencer. It works as well as the factory barrel, but I have not shot it that much.

    I bought a Lone Wolf G19 barrel for my Dad last Christmas so he could shoot his lead loads. The accuracy was horrible. We tried it in two different G19's and it just wasn't acceptable at all. I contacted LW and sent it back. Their trouble shooter (fix the screw ups guy) recut the chamber and crown and polished out the feed ramp (which we could see was poorly done). I received it back and it shoots pretty well now but I had expected better. I also thought they might offer to pay the shipping or send a coupon for the next order, something because it was obviously a quality control issue but not even a sorry for your trouble from them. I have heard few bad things about them but I wasn't overly impressed with the way things were handled in my case. I will say they only had it for about two weeks.

    I'm eventually just going to be a sucker and dish out for a fitted bar-sto match barrel, but I have to get a new holster and some other stuff and get my G24c limited ready. So the cheapest barrel that works that doesn't have ports is probably what I need to do.
