Wards Western Field Shotgun
I have a Wards Western Field Model 52-9d51a. That is on the receiver, on the other side of receiver it says 5100. Gun has a plastic stock or something similar. Gun is in great shape, inside of barrels are perfect. I'd say gun is at least 75%. Can't remember if I got this gun before Korean War of after I came home. I would like to sell it but don't know the value. Any help I can get would really be appreciated. Thanks.

You didn't tell the gauge of your shotgun but do a search on the auction side for Stevens 5100.

Unfortunately there is little collector interest in the store brand guns--but they certainly can be good shooters--value on them usually runs less than $200. edit: that less than $200 price usually is for store brand pumps--the doubles can bring a little more but not a TON more--if you do a search for completed auctions on the 5100 you will see what I mean. The 5100's selling for over $300 received no bids-there are 6 pages of completed 5100's. The guys with the Tenite stocked 5100's(plastic like) have their guns at over $500 and not one bid. 0
