Colt Model MK IV

Does anyone know what these pistols are worth? They both have the same serial #'s. First Edition (1982) serial #RC00816. Second Edition (1983) serial #00816RC. As you can see the RC in the #'s is at the beginning in the 1st edition and at the end in the 2nd edition. My understanding is that the only way you could get the second edition with the same # is to have purchased the first edition.Also I don't think there are many of these guns available so it makes them very rare. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  According to S. Fjestad's Blue Book of Gun Values, Colt issued a "1st edition Govt. Model .380 ACP" in 1984. I don't see a listing for a "2nd edition". There is a difference between "rare" & "valuable".
  
  We would need to see photos of the guns & packaging to hazard a guess of the value.
