    If you shoot that often, hopefully you'll know what you do and don't like in guns.

    All the guns you mention are fine; its largely a question of personal preference. That is, which one fits your hand the best, which one has a control scheme you like, etc.

    For what its worth, the Rugers in particular are built like bricks. They may not be nice to look at, but they should be able to take a lot of abuse, and they are fairly reasonably priced.

    IMO, the HK P30 is overpriced.

    Beretta (now Stoeger) Cougar 8000 is a fairly good gun. Its sort of like a slimmed down model 92, with a different barrel action. I think the Stoeger version (which is made in Turkey on the original Beretta machinery) is also a pretty good value for the money.

    I personally would take the Ruger (if it's comfortable to you). As Beantown suggested, they are built well and the cost is not too great.

    I've shot the Ruger and didn't like it. It just wasn't comfortable to me and was too bulky and heavy for concealed carry. I haven't handled any of the others you've listed except the HK so I can't comment on them. I have an HK p30 and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it. If you can find a decent price on a used one like I did, snatch it up in a hurry. I sold the M&P 9mm after getting the HK because I just couldn't go back to the Smith. Quality, handling, feel in the hand, and accuracy are unparalleled by anything else I own (including Smiths, Kimbers, Brownings, etc.) I cannot praise this gun enough. It has become my favorite carry gun. I'd prefer real night sights than the glow in the dark kind but I'll just have to order them.
