I have a model 88 winchester 243 made in 1957 with serial no. 52401. the gun looks brand new. can someone give me a value as i must sell it. thanks

Most of the folks who really know their stuff will be reluctant to give hard figures without clear, close pictures.
Best bet, lacking those, is to go to the auction side and see what 88's in similar condition have actually sold for.

According to the Serial Number of your .243 it would be a 1956 the First Year they made a .243 in the model 88. If it looks as you describe it would be a $1500.00 item ,maybe more..Your Rifle should have the 3 bump recoil block..1957 have the round recoil block or(Tang)... 0 -
