Remington 1100 20 ga.
Hello, I am looking for a 20 ga slug barrel for my Remington 1100. In looking, I find that there are many models. How do I tell If my Remington 20 gage is a std., or an LW, or an LT. Are the receivers or the barrel so marked. Thanks for any help you might give me.

The 1100 20 gauge Standard model is the one I am most familiar with since I own one. It has a 12 gauge size receiver and magazine tube. The barrels for this model have a larger diameter magazine ring which a quarter will fit through. A quarter will not fit through the ring on the LT or LW. This model was discontinued around 1969.
If I try to explain the other two I know I will make a mistake so I will leave that to someone else. You do have to have correct barrels for the different frames. The LT and LW barrels are marked but no special markings on the Standard model barrels or receivers. The size is the thing.0 -
Both the LT & the LW receivers and barrels are so marked...The LW barrels have a short tang much like an 870 barrel...The LW ejector is located inside the receiver...The standard weight and LT ejectors are on the barrel tang...Hope this helps..
