WWII Knife
I have a knife that was given to me by my brother. The blade is 8 1/2" by 1 1/2" overall length is 13" with brass knuckles. It has his initials in the butt in brass. The sheath is leather with strings. Any info or an idea of its value would be helpful.

Go to the auction side and enter "TRENCH KNIFE" and see what you get. There were two types, a blade (which is the one you probably have) and a spike.
They were mainly used during WWI, but WWII have a couple also.0 -
Don't get your hopes up until you a knife pro have a hands on with it. There were a bunch of repos made back in the 60's/70's time frame. Take some quality close-up photos of both the knife and sheath and post them on a site called the knife forum, hopefully if your pictures are good enough one of the folks over there can identify if it's the real McCoy or a repo. 0 -
Well looks like we need to have a pro look at it, I have been looking at this knife for over 50 years so its not a repo. But thanks anyway. 0 -

Come back to us W/photos (closeups of the stampings-which you didn't describe), and the issue may be resolved right here and now.
Many knife afficionados/collectors here on the forums. You admit that you 'need to have a pro look at it'. All we ask is for you to do here what you will do elsewhere..and that is to let someone here actually see it.
