Rear sights- Rock island 1911

need help i was told that i cant change rear sights (novaks) on 1911 tactical rock island to adjustible target sights bomar. gun shop said i could only choose from novak selection. looking for second opinion, any help would be great. thanks

    The slide will have be milled out to put a Bomar sight on it.
    Why don't you look into a adjustable Novak that will go right in [?]

    i was told that novak does not make target adjustable sights

    Contact BROWNELLS tech department They deal with this kind of question ever day and sell all brands of parts. They will give you CORRECT INFORMATION

    A Bomar sight cut will not "clean up" a Novak dovetail.
    The Novak adjustable sight does not fit the Novak Low Mount dovetail but it does not take but one little flat in front of the dovetail to let it go in.
    Kensight makes an adjustable sight to fit the Novak Low Mount dovetail and I think Springfield Armory has one.
